Is the OP a closet Lib?

There is no difference now between a rifle with a mag lock and one without one. The law now says both are AWs.

I don't think "rather" would be the correct word. It seems to me people are trying to pick whatever freedom they may left up off the floor.

If you're in a fight and you get knocked down you try to get back up and regain whatever tools you have left to stay in the fight.

Are you suggest they just lay down, take it, and keep their mouths shut like good little subjects.

      edit to add -

Also pinning the responsibility of the current state of affairs of CA's politics and the gunpocolypse squarely on their shoulders is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard today. It's almost on the same level as the legislator that claimed that the bullet button basically turned semi auto rifles into full auto weapons of war. If I compiled a list of 100 reasons why we are in the position we are in today, the BB question people would most likely NOT make the cut.

FYI I have not asked this question, yet I do understand their position. At the same time I understand your frustrations.

        1. Of course not... You might want to read more than just the first post before asking silly questions...

        2. I'm not pinning anything on anyone. I'm merely attempting to get people to see that they should not trade their constitutional rights for the ability to throw away their bullet buttons...

HA! I didn't read pat the OP when I made my previous post. Looks like there's a bit of a consensus on this thread.

You got me... I'm a closet Lib. That's why I post on Calguns... That's why I pulled two tours in Iraq. That's why I vote Republican. That's why I love guns. Just to trick people into thinking I'm a Con...

The only consensus is between people who share the same poor reading comprehension skills...

Newer long guns bought in CA (2014+) are already "registered" (i.e. the state is keeping track, AB 809) so, finding out if a new gun that will be "registered" once again can have the BB dropped is a valid point and not the betrayal or whatever the **** the OP delusional mind thinks it is. So stupid.

Good job missing the point... Read a little further into the thread before making accusations to OP's delusional mind...

I get your point. I've read through the thread and understand your thoughts. I DO see where you're coming from. I understand that we are all on the same team here and it doesn't do any good to bicker between us. We are all trying to work toward the same outcome. A little cohesion can go a long way. The BB question people and those that don't quite fully understand why they are all asking that question are all grasping at the same straws.

I appreciate that you took the time to read through the thread and you came back to say so.

I also see, from some of the responses, that I could have done a better job stating my point in the first post. Hahahaha.

Hopefully, this thread will help at least a few folks see that they should think twice before jumping at registration, just to get rid of their bullet button.

its the first day op, many have no clue what their options are. give it a week or so before reacting. once all the alternatives to registering are out there, i doubt you will be seeing too many saying they will anymore.
