Forget about the stupid Bullet Button!

I have been watching CG all day today and I have seen 100 people write, "UMM, does this mean I can get rid of my bullet button?"

You folks are part of the problem....

Every one of you, who would rather trade your bullet button in for a registered AW, are THE reason why this state has slid down the ditch into the cesspool it has become.

How much fun was that slippery slope? It's only getting steeper and wetter...

Sounds like you want to be the first to sign up and get rid of your bullet button...

        Not true.

The simple fact is that the majority of people in this state vote for democrats. One only needs to watch any of the Assembly or Senate committee hearings to see that when a particular party that has disdain for the Constitution is the majority on that committee, there is absolutely nothing that can be done. When the Governor is also of that same parties persuasion, it's a done deal. You think it's a cesspool now. Wait until Newsome is Governor.

BTW, I have lived in CA for 90% of my 53 years on this earth (except for 6 years in the Navy overseas). Until the controlling party decides that the Constitution is more important than pandering to emotion and feelings, it will continue down this path.

Dumbest thread I've seen for several days.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

Thank you for your great points... I appreciate that you have been here much longer than I have, and I empathize with your slow and steady loss of rights...

As long as I remain in this state, I will share that loss with you.

Now, my original point was NOT that we should stop fighting or trying. My point is that we should NOT be jumping to sign up for a government list, JUST so that we can change our magazines a little faster.

I am afraid that many CalGunners are seeing today's loss of rights as an opportunity to "Sign Up and get our Magazine Release Buttons back!"

And, you are right... It's only getting worse...

I think you, also, misunderstood the point of the original post...

Man you're blaming the wrong group of people. Calguners have done a lot but something happens no matter what.

doesn't mean that they are the problem. many are looking to make lemonade...

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I'm not blaming all CalGunners. I am very happy to think of myself as a Calgunner...

I'm worried about the folks who are excited to get their magazine releases back, in exchange for giving up EVEN MORE of their constitutional rights.

And that's a valid argument that I did not consider...

I just want people to see this thread and realize that registration will eventually equal confiscation...

Some will say, "I signed up for the AW list many years ago and my rifle was not confiscated."

To them I would say, "You have not died yet. Where will it go then? To the state for destruction?"

                      Destruction = Confiscation

I'm going to leave and go to a free state...

But I'm not trying to lead anyone.

I just want people to think twice before registering...

I too cringe when I see people asking those questions. It minimizes the incredible damage that was done to the Constitution and Liberty with the swipe of a pen today.

I like many was disgusted at the brazen disrespect and dismissive rhetoric from our elected officials during those hearings. My hats off to Craig DeLuz, Sam Paredes and others who valiantly and eloquently "fought the battle". It was clear they were merely being entertained as a courtesy.

The fact of the matter is California is getting what California wants.

The takeaway as I see it is this:

It should be crystal clear to any and all gun owners how important this Presidential election is. We have just witnessed today what a Clinton White House will be like. Regardless if you support Trump or think he's a buffon, this election is about the Supreme Court. They will be deciding on whether or not to hear the inevitable 2A cases coming in the next 12-24 months.
