    Get on your feet

The people of Texas marched and protested vehemently when their right to open carry was taken away, yet we in California, even those of us who are rabid gun enthusiasts, sit idly by year after year, as our 2nd amendment is chipped away at little by little. Death by a thousand cuts. Why don't we get off our complacent asses and rally? March on the capitol, picket the state assembly, display some damn civil disobedience. I am not in any way condoning, advocating, or inciting violence, I am simply fed up.

So, to the admins of CalGuns and the organizers of any other pro 2A group in California who frequent the forum, if you decide to spearhead a real movement and put something on the calendar, I will gladly rally behind you. I will show up, armed or unarmed, peaceful either way, and demand change with you. And I'm sure many others here would too.

Then out spake brave Horatius; The captain of the gate "To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late, And how can man die better, Than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers, And the temples of his gods."

The problem is this. Texas is still a heavily Republican state Very easy for them to protest and get results . California is and has been for the past almost 20 years now heavily democratic due to the influx of immigrants and also due to the fact that there is heavy minority/liberal population in the dense population centers IE Los Angeles and San Francisco. the state of California will stay democratic in the foreseeable future therefore us Republicans and pro Gunners are heavily outnumbered remember there's strength in numbers we just don't have the numbers

California is lost. We are overwhelmingly outvoted. Calling, writing, emailing and faxing is futile. There will be no relief from the courts either. You have two choices: stay for whatever your reasons may be and sacrifice your 2A rights, or leave for Free America.

I want to know how this can work without CA banning online ammo sales? The last time they did that they were beaten back in court, why would it be different this time? What does CalGuns and the NRA propose to do about this legally?

I remember the last time CA tried this, a certain ammo seller in Montana told me, Sounds to me like they have passed another law they can't enforce, I'll always sell to CA gun owners, CA can kiss my azz.

I say not one person here purchases any ammo with CA permit, let them count the tax dollars they will lose from NO AMMO SALES AT ALL! Get it another way, but do not buy that frigging permit. So far there has been no discussion about reloading supplies, how are those effected. Learn to reload, don't give CA one damned dollar in permit fees.
I reload for my long guns now, but reloading for handguns was never worth it to me, what took me two hours to load, I shot away in ten minutes. Well you know what? I am prepared to put down $300-400 for a new multistage press and learn ho to use it before I'll pay $50 to CA for a permit.

I really wish I didn't have family here, I would be out of this liberal cesspool by the end of the year.

i'm not a lawyer, but how can they enforce buying online and having it shipped to your door? It's not like they can punish the out-of-state vendor...

You might want to talk to these guys about that. Granted this was a civil action, not criminal. But they were indeed punished.

Several companies selling mag-rebuild kits, one of them a member here, Exile Machine were sued by San Francisco for shipping those kits into CA.

As I mentioned it was a civil case, and IIRC correctly all cases were settled by the companies agreeing to stop shipping the kits to CA.

But nevertheless these companies were put through the wringer and incurred who knows how much in legal fees.

I guess that just shows how little I know about the legal system. I didn't know you could just sue people from other states, even if they didn't have any sort of presence in the state you're suing them in
