Sacramento Mayor Race - TOP 3 Candidates Stances on the 2nd amendment rights CCW

So I just got off the phone with Tony "the Tiger" Lopez which is 1 of the 3 major candidates up for mayor of Sacramento. I have exhaustively researched stances on the 3 major candidates Darrell Steinberg, Angelique Ashby as well as Tony Lopez. Of the 3 I had contacted, Tony Lopez was the ONLY candidate to get back in touch with me, and speak to me personally involving second amendment rights. Since CCW is such a volatile topic it should be noted that both Darrell Steinberg and Angelique Ashby both OPPOSE CCW. Darrell Steinberg is AGAINST private citizens even owning firearms, which flies in the face of the republican party itself; and I'm shocked he can even call himself a Republican. Tony However IS a CCW carrier. He has several people in his family who carry, and is a PROUD SUPPORTER OF 2nd Amendment rights. He said to me personally that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun. And research has clearly shown that when more law abiding citizen carry guns, the victim rate falls, therefore, the crime rate falls. Tony is a true red blooded American and I encourage ALL OF YOU WHO VALUE YOUR 2nd AMENDMENT RIGHTS INCLUDING CCW PERMITS VOTE FOR TONY LOPEZ FOR SACRAMENTO MAYOR.

I generally don't like reading mainstream media, but today I read an article that was a good read. I think this might answer your question

I remember photographing his boxing matches for the promoters. Tony was a seriously tough competitor. With what you said of his 2A stance, it's a no-brainer he'd get my vote if I still lived in Sacto.

Have you watched any of the Mayoral debates?
Steinberg is a career politician and major Democrat, extremely anti 2A- booo!

Ashby isn't much better(she was part of KJ's "team"), but she isnt 100% against CCW as per the last debate.

As for Tony the Tiger Lopez, I had high hopes for him but after watching him in the last couple of debates, it's pretty clear that guy has been punched in the head one too many times.
During the last debate when he asked on his stance of CCW, he said he believes in it and that he carries everyday- not so concealed now...
Ashby mentioned she was ok with it when necessary, but it's not the Mayor's place to decide and it's up to the Sheriff to issue CCW's and Steiny went full retard on the issue.

        Slim pickens....

Your exhaustive research should have at least gotten Steinberg's party (Democratic) correct and turned up the fact that in 2013 he was the President Pro Tempore of the California Senate and the author of SB374, the ban on semiauto rifles that was vetoed by Gov. Brown.

Here is Steinberg with his buddy Leland Yee behind him.

No one should be surprised about his views on guns.
              Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

Tony Lopez might have a slim chance if he's running for mayor in some not well known town or city, but definitely not Sacramento, which he basically has no chance. Sacramento will just soon become a city like San Francisco.

other than running his mouth, what real legislative powers does a Mayor have anyway?

For Steinberg, running his mouth is more than enough. He would be another Bloomberg or Rahm Emanuel.
