    Apology

    hi,

i'll post this under general discussion too, but i also wanted to make sure it shows up to the people who post under California 2nd Amend. Political Discussion & Activism.

i'd like to apologize for what i said. i was brand new to the forum and overreacted. i took the 1st 2 private replies as negative, and they weren't. im sorry. i was an a-s-s to everyone, including immature remarks.

i'd like to find out good lawyers from bad lawyers. i have one helpful post already. i wondered if other people know the good from the bad.

if the poster who responded to my comment that "facts can't hurt one if one did nothing wrong" by saying i need to be schooled, could please send me a private message so that he could school me, that would be great because that thread got deleted and i have no way to contact that poster.

i'm in poway, san diego, san diego county.

    thanks,

    evan

        to WASR10

i'd love to shoot, but i think it will be a bust if i even TOUCH (doj speak: control) a firearm.

when i get this whole thing put right, i would love a shooting buddy.

              That was me.

Just saying that when it comes to litigation (especially criminal cases), you need to keep public statements to a minimum at all costs, whether you think they help you or not.

Many people have been thrown in jail because they thought "I have nothing to fear because I have done nothing wrong."

The world is not fair. The courts are slightly more fair, but not much.

That said, kudos for the apology. Takes a lot of guts and character to publicly admit wrong. Good on you.

Also, good lawyers might refuse to work with you if you say things they think imprudent.

There's nothing to be gained long term from statements in public about court cases. Maybe you feel better at the time, and the meanies are proved wrong, but the meanies on the forum are nothing like prosecutors or judges or sheriffs that will use your conviction against you.

I'm all for being nice as possible, but just like slapping a child's hand reaching for a hot stove, sometimes pain and meanness is necessary to prevent greater harms.

                  Welcome.

                    roger that.

for the record, i wasn't convicted of anything, just shoved into a mental hospital a while after surgery. that's the real injustice here. involuntarily committed while unconscious, and they told my wife to stay home, it was after visiting hours, i was asleep, that they were going to transfer me, and everything is just peachy. she is naive when it comes to gun laws and mental health. if our places were reversed, i would have parked my car between the ambulance and the mental hospital and said "we're gonna talk about other options here. she ain't a going into the funny farm." lol, but that's what i would've done.

I hope you get your situation sorted out and your rights restored. Even with all the jackwagons on here (I'm frequently one of them, don't worry), there's a LOT of good knowledge and advice to be found.

OP, wishing you the best of luck getting your situation sorted out. One must walk a very fine line as a firearm owner in this state.
