For those that believe a republican president will secure a conservative Supreme Court justice nomination I would like to remind you of a quote from the Donald.

“I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun."

We will be choosing between two left wing candidates that will say anything to get elected. One is simply running as a republican.

Hopefully Peruta v San Diego will be upheld before the election.

You have to remember that they will say anything at the moment that they think is the right thing to say to get support. That is all that they care about.
They don't care a bit about anyone or anyone's personal plight in life.

Bernie Sanders is the only one who says what he means and means what he says.

The rest of them, will say anything that they think is expedient.

AW's are, an will always be military full auto weapons, & have little to do with civilian arms (sporting arms).

Sporting arms can look very much like AW's, but are not, just like kit cars are not real ford cobra's.

Or are you referring to sporting rifles, as in simi auto for your ban approval?

"Assault weapons" are legally defined under CA laws. [PC 30510, 30515 & 30710]

A firearm that can shoot full-auto is legally defined as a "machine gun" under Federal and CA laws. [PC 16880]

Thats a 16 year old quote. I propose we all changed some opinions in that timeline. A few months ago he made the statement that armed teachers had the possibility of lessening the impact in Oregon.

Lets live in the now. Im not currently a supporter but lets be real - D's and R's are two sides of the same coin. Maybe its time career politicians make way for an alternative.

I didn't see any endorsement or indication he wants Sanders as president.

The way I read his post is; don't be duped into thinking all of them aren't capable of doing what you don't want... Only Sanders is up front about it.

Hillary is a blatant liar, so that one's easy... Trump simply dupes people (and seems easy to recognise to me - but as with Obama, some are easily duped)... Cruz is in the middle (IMO) but more up front than the other two - however, it seems lots of people would rather be duped... And no, I'm not really a fan of Cruz either.

Anyway, I don't think his post specifically indicated he favored Sanders.

Very true - and abundantly clear to some, but unfortunately not the majority in this country...

It's a shame that in such an important time in our country's history we have such crap to choose as a leader and pivotal decision maker... It's always lesser of two evils - but not in my life has it ever had such impact on our future.

I don't plan to vote Trump, I'm still not convinced of his motives, nevertheless I'm going to vote party line, however the Republican Party nomination is.
