I thought "assault weapon" registration could only be applied to one person, so what does this line mean?

      (9) Joint family firearm registration is expressly allowed for assault weapons and .50 BMG rifles.

Not for "AW" registration, just cornfused

Contact Governor Brown ask for VETO on AB-450 and SB-1332.

California: 2016 Legislative Session Scheduled to Adjourn Tomorrow
The 2016 legislative session will adjourn tomorrow, August 31. Today, the Assembly concurred with the Senate amendments to anti-gun bill AB 450, clearing the last legislative hurdle. AB 450 will now join anti-gun bill, SB 1332, and pro-gun, AB 2510, for consideration by Governor Brown.

I sent my email to the Governor:
            Governor Brown,
The assault on law abiding gun owners this year has shaken our community to the core. Superfluous bills which are aimed at problems that don't exist have been rampant this year, which causes concern among your constituents that exercise their Second Amendment rights in a lawful manner.

The goal of the Legislature should not be to criminalize the most diligent and law-abiding among us, unless we render our lawfully owned property to the state. The burden is on you, sir, to reign in California's out of control legislature.

In regards to SB-1332 specifically, the control of one's private property is by no means the concern of the government. What one chooses to do with one's property, so long as it does not harm others nor is intended to, is the right of the individual.

In regards to AB-450, the right to carry, concealed or otherwise, is the right of the law-abiding individual regardless of their income level or social/political status. To raise the cost of obtaining a concealed carry permit would be a detriment to those with lower income levels who wish to protect themselves and their families from external threats.

I am asking that you please veto both of these bills.

            Respectfully,
            Lonestargrizzly
Is this good? I've never emailed the Governor before?

              My response via pm.

Looks great. Just space after the salutation.

I typically begin and end with the urging of veto/sign message. So you ended great. Consider adding as first paragraph/sentence similar, direct urging as you've done at the end.

              e.g.
              Governor Brown,

Otherwise, it's good. Direct, makes a couple specific points about each issue, not too long and remains respectful. Great job.

Please don't let another day go by without voicing yourself. Lobbyists and politicians use the volume of feedback as a barometer to see if they can slip it in your backdoor easily.

Please consider taking two minutes today to let the governor know you oppose this bill. Monday, give him a call to remind.

Our resources are stretched, this takes little effort and zero money. Kill it before it is even planted is the motto.
