1 every 30 day handgun question

Does anyone know if the 1 every 30 days rule on handguns starts from the time of DROS or when you pick it up? I know this has probably been answered before but I am on my way out the door to go buy a gun and need to know.

Only 1/4 of my gun collection has been bought through FFL, most have been ppt but no g19s are available.
