California seeks to put 10-year gun bans on more misdemeanor offenders

Selling or giving possession of ammunition to a minor.

So we can't give our kids/grandkids a box of .22 so they can practice with their rifle?

Possession of a firearm that is not registered.

Anyone have any idea how many unregistered firearms there are out there? I know that we didn't have to register them in the past and I believe those are grandfathered?

Of course, this legislation is based on the 'findings' of one of the most prominent anti-gunners... Dr. Garen Wintemute...well known for stalking gun shows and cherry picking his 'facts'.

"I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them."

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

Are they talking Long Guns prior to last year? That's a WHOLE lot of guns.

Are they C&R handguns acquired by those with C&R licenses prior to a few years ago? And/or guns that were passed down through families Father to son or daughter, or Grandfather to grandson or grandaughter and the like?

    Sure would be a lot.

A whole of of stupid, that is.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?
