No more 10 day waiting period for people with guns already? (Silvester v Harris)

Hello I just am looking for some confirmation, I'm a new gun owner and found articles saying that for people with guns already, they don't need to wait 10 days anymore but that its on hold for 180 days?

Is this true? As I'm about to make a pretty long drive just to get DROS out the way and if there's any chance I can bring home my rifle tomorrow that would be awesome

I read that Kamala is appealing this to the 9th, though, correct? So it could still be years before we actually get to do this? I think it is at the point now where Harris is just being vindictive toward us and wanting to punish us. Bottom line: She is a sore loser.

If the 10 day wait goes away, good. Another issue is the one gun in thirty days that interferes with my private purchasing decisions. It also limits sales and income for retail FFLs.

Feb 24, 2015 = 180 days from Aug 25, 2014 ruling.

The only issue is that it will still probably take a few days for the state to run the required background check through all of thier systems.

The new law simply says that they can't use the arbitrary number i.e. "10 days", but have to allow the FFL to deliver the firearm to the purchaser as soon as the background check is completed.

In those states where a 30 minute background check is the norm, they simply run the National check.

California runs the national check, and they also run a check through all of thier own criminal databases.

If I'm not mistaken, believe that the 9th has already smacked her down in her appeal to the 10 day wait judgment. Seems like news of that nature was released at about the same time as the 9th told her to pound sand on attempting to intervene with Peruta.
