Duncan v Bonta: second trip to the 9th Circus

Why should folks not apply for a CCW? Duncan deals with standard capacity magazines… yeah, CA folks might not be able to carry their standard capacity mags, until this issue is finally resolved by SCOTUS (in the next term or two…). Are you suggesting CA folks, or out of state applicants go unarmed?

I am definitely not suggesting that CA folks go unarmed. What I am suggesting is that for a non-resident like myself, the added requirement to purchase 10 round magazines for my Canik MC9LS and my Sig P365 XL Macro when combined with the cost of obtaining an CA CCW, that is only good for two years, and SB2's limitations on where I could lawfully carry in CA, makes a CA CCW close to worthless and definitely not worth the time and expense.

If you’re not traveling into CA often… I’d agree… hopefully HR 38 gets passed, and we see National Reciprocity.

While I hope the SCOTUS take up this case on cert. I am pessimistic they will
They passed on Ocean State and then on friday they passed on the Washington DC mag ban case. They are shirking thier duties and relegating the 2A to second class status. I don't see that changing as long as Roberts is around.Comment

ocean state is on prelim injunction and hasn't run its course within inferior court system; duncan has completed all hurdles (x2), has affected citizens in the most populace state in US for decades, threatens to take property from same ( i.e., leftists' long game of incrementalism), and is the only venue remaining.
imo, between ocean state and duncan, the latter is the clear choice to set precedent and i suspect scotus may have been awaiting duncan's return all along; especially after saint benitez' incredible work along with the scathing dissents from 9th setting stage and having done all the heavy lifting.Originally posted by GraybeardSeriously the quality of some of the posts on here has gone waaaaayyyyyy downOriginally posted by cannonYou have not been here long enough to see how low they can really go.Comment
