Linky no worky. I was just wondering today who would be the first to launch a lawsuit. This seems to be a misfire and he took it down because doesn't the law need to take effect before he can sue? Otherwise he wouldn't have standing, right? I'll wait for the actual legal scholars to chime in.

Reno is lead plaintiff. As for waiting for someone else?this is someone else. Joint suit with CPRA, SAF, GOA, LGO, FPC, and others.

My question wasn't whether he was the lead plaintiff but rather if this is too early? I haven't followed SB2 too closely but isn't it at the Governor's desk? So it's not even signed yet and even then doesn't take effect until Jan. 1st.

I'm probably the furthest thing away from a legal scholar but it feels like if it actually makes it somewhere before Jan. 1st some judge would dismiss it just to drag it out with a refiling. This could also be perfect timing and it just takes 3+ months to wiggle through to the initial steps in the court and by then the law is in effect. My hope is it's the latter.

There doing almost the same thing that NEW MEXICO GOVERNOR GRISHAM is doing but instead of an executive order they have created a law. This is a lot worse because unlike New Mexico in which the A.G. will not defend the governor's executive orders, the California GOVERNOR, A.G, and certain judges, also believes that their oaths and the Constitution of the United States is not absolute. It is high time that these people be put under the microscope and start investigating them and immediate family members for signs of corruption. I know there is some forensic government paid for book keeper just chomping at the bit, to get a feather in his cap for taking down some high and mighty government offical. Probably already running a sting operation on several of these people,time will tell.

Of course California did this. It is in spite of Bruen. It will take years if not decades to undo this. All the while a CCW is nothing more than TP now.
