I still mentally expect one over the weekend, but this may be a sign that the 3-judge panel is seriously considering and diligently debating a denial, a positive development, even if ultimately, the decision goes in favor of the state.
They have until 12 pm on Oct. 29, 2023 to act. While I do not disagree with your expectations, with all due respect, what is there to debate if they honor their oath to protect and defend the Constitution?

Yes, that is exactly what the previous 6180 posts have been about!

This is pure speculation, but Judge Bennett could be on the fence and listening to the Clinton-appointed judge advocate for issuance, and the Bush-appointed judge argue in favor of denial.

Otherwise, if Judge Bennett had already made up his mind days ago, I would have expected an order by now.

That is true. Most new mag locks can be disabled. The inserting a freedom week magazine seems good.

Everyone knows that an en banc panel will reverse Judge Benitez, but 3-judge panels are a different story. Remember that several gun rights cases have already received pro-gun rulings, even before Bruen.

Since you are taking bets, what do want to bet and what would we be betting on?

I definitely wasn?t expecting to catch up on this thread and see that a stay wasn?t granted. That?s cool, but I?m not holding my breath that we?ll make it through the weekend without some kind of back door bull**** being done.

I have a feeling when everything goes through, gun stores around the country will raise their prices

The first time Duncan was in front of a 3-Judge they affirmed.
This was likely one of the reasons why the En Banc grabbed it because they knew the same 3-Judge would affirm again.

I?ll take a bet for fun, $100, but the loser will donate it to FPC. I say they won?t grant a stay by midnight on the 29th. Anyone wants to take the bet let me know.

The CA models are usually a bit more expensive due to the compliance parts. Find a store with a out of state location, you'll likely be able to save on transfer fees and some have free shipping to their CA location. I don't think there will be too many shortages (on complete firearms). I think current owners will be converting their maglock/featureless rifles which is a simple parts swaps as opposed to going out to buy completely new firearm. So any (local) shortages will likely be pistol grips, telescoping stocks and magazine release parts. Good time to be a gunsmith I'd image
