My biggest concern now is that The SCOTUS conservatives are now cowed and afraid. After Dobbs, they were verbally and physically intimidated, including protestors at their homes while the US Marshals stood by and watched. The hint from the Biden Admin was clear: just like a mafiosos selling "protection". "It is a dangerous world out there. Bad things happen all the time. It would be a real shame if something were to happen to you or your families. <shrug> We'd like to help you out, but protection has a cost and you need to work with us to earn it."

I sincerely hope I am wrong, but we'll see what certs they grant over the next several days for the October term.

I think you are right at least to a degree. I'm not so sure they are afraid for their physical safety as much the psychological factor. They are being vilified and portrayed as extremists and 'illegitimate'.
They are human beings with feelings. Even though I believe they are tough, the constant berating has an effect. They want to be respected for their work like most people.
The constant barrage from the legacy media, democratic operatives and attack organs like pro-publica has an effect whether we like it or not.

They need our prayers and as much support as we can give them. The courage to take the tough cases and do what's right and rule according to the constitution.

Just a wild guess..but... the USSC see's what's going on and know that Trump has more than a foot in the door... he's in up to his butt...lol

knowing this... they should hand down a few PRO-2nd rulings ... jmho

When if ever can we expect Duncan to move forward in this painfully slow case. Remember when all these cases were won and everyone was hopeful of real change. Then the ninth stepped in and overturned them and sent them to the swamp that is the ninth. There hasn't been enough happening to even bother checking. This is a great example of why judges should not be appointed for life. They should be ashamed of there incompetence. A case should not require 5 to 10 years to be decided. OK I'm better. I've vented. And I realise that they don't want them decided hence the ashamed part.

It was argued and submitted on March 19, 2024, normally takes atleast six month for a decision. So next month or September we should see something.

Spot on. Biden just announced his "Snowball's Chance in Hell" proposal to shift the balance of powers to the Legislative Branch...Uber Alles. I doubt it will fly at present...but if the democrats win the presidency and gain both houses...

New Jersey LCM ban was upheld today. Case was ANJRCP v. Grewal , same case also struck down an AR-15 ban.

I think what your suggesting is accurate they could do all the things your suggesting.

This is exactly why many folks (myself included) have lost all respect for the entire judicial system, the legislature, and those tasked with enforcing bad law. My expectations of the above are totally zero, and anything that may possibly come as a benefit from the above is a total freebie, unplanned, and to be used before it is snatched away. Sad, but that is the reality, at least in California.

Hopefully we'll see some movement on Duncan in the next 4 weeks.

Reading the Grewal opinion is torturous. Left-leaning judges can't get over themselves and simply interpret laws in the way that fits their personal views. I guess Sheridan couldn't figure out a way to spin his way out of the Colt AR-15, but left all other semi-auto rifles regulated.
