    Taking Daughter bird hunting

    Hi All,

We'll my AZ Quail hunt fell through. This would have been my first trip out with my daughter. Anyone have any suggestions about any Cali. Pheasant hunts that wont break the bank. I still have the time off and I want to take her out. Oh yeah Southern California I live in San Diego.

    Thanks

    Mike

There is a place out towards El Centro that I went to last year. I forget how much it costs but they do day hunts. Look at their web site http://www.whuntclub.com and call up Mendel. It wasn't too much. I went by myself and I think they planted 6 birds for me. I got a guy with a dog and I was the only one in the field. On the site it says they have father - son discounts. You probably want to talk to them because I don't see the prices for a "day hunt" like I did before. They may have discontinued them but you might be able to talk him into it if you tell him your situation.

      Hi Mike,

My friends and I did a pheasant hunt at Raahauges in Corona last December and we enjoyed it.

I would wait until it cools down a little. You still need a CA hunting license.

I posted about it here.I'll see if I can find the thread.

You're definitely going to want to get a guide with a dog.
