    Coyote Damage

This is at our hunting camp, this is the out trailer. We hadn’t been there for a month of so and the evidence is that a coyote got after a cottontail that it detected under the trailer and this is what you get. I actually starting calling on and off starting at 1:00 pm and a coyote walk past the front window at 20 yards. I could have shot it but the screen door was wired shut and I didn’t want to put a hole in the screen. We had a bear ripping stuff apart this year too. If man is not around they are a tenacious little critter.

The drought makes them desperate........after you have eaten everything the ones that are left are few and far between.

Sounds like a little calling with some bait may be a blast........his head may say no but his stomach says yes

Sorry to see the damage. Hope it doesn't cost too much to repair.

At least they left you a dollar to help defray the cost of the damage.
            Sorry, not sorry.

I will do DadForLife, the coyote came through at 3:00pm and I started calling on and of at 1:00 while I was piddleing around inside and watching TV. I called every 10 to 20 minutes or so.

The dollar is for scale referance for the track Fjold.

SonfoWWIIDI, it isn’t that much damage, just that I can us the time that it takes to repair this for something else. Hey, and thanks to your Father for serving so we can be free.

I won't say anything, let’s see if we get any other opinions on that Bull Elk, look closer and don't use your book sense, lol.

Coyotes cause me to spend money.
Sorry to tag this on to yours op:
Anyone see the news on Seal Beach the other night.Folks trying to stop them from gassing the coyotes.Seems the beach city is overrun with the things.
I have a suggestion for them.Transplant them up here in the high desert.I notice a couple areas are getting a little low on them for some reason.

No, but it might have chased a 1/2 dozen cottontail rabbits under there. Do you think coyotes can spend money?

Actually the best deterrent is to hang the coyote nearby, others get the hint pretty quickly, but then again they may just eat it.

Yes indeed the coyotes travel down a long water corridor. I'm at West Garden Grove butt-up against Seal Beach, near the Los Alamos military training center. There is a man-made water way that goes up from hear, thru Cypress, Thru La Palma and goes all the way to the Foothills / San Gabriel mountains if I understand correctly. In La Palma that thing is even name Los Coyotes something-er-other

And apparently for a while there were getting bold and not afraid to be seen travelling thru a nearby park that hosts girls soccer. And a few people apparently had them take their pets.

Between the Los Alamos center and our neighborhood tract there is the Naval Golf Course too... there is this water feature, besides the drainage ditch thing, and Ducks and Geese and lots of Gophers/Voles. We also get Big-***** Red-Tailed Hawks that sometimes fly high overhead on spiraling recon missions, most likely looking for cats.... and definitely looking at our little Chihuahua. Though having a Lime hurled at them at high-speed quickly discourages them from returning (Not on my watch!).
