Another thread got me wondering what the real numbers are.
In 1970, 690,790 Resident Hunting licenses were sold, revenue was $2,763,160
In 2013, 251,046 Resident Hunting licenses were sold, revenue was $10,669,455
The trend is pretty consistent.
With less than half the hunters in the woods than there was 40 years ago why are we bumping shoulders more and more?
Up here the answer is that they are closing down the woods. Where's the money going? Clearly it's not going to help hunters!
