    Vocal Coyotes?

A question for those knowledgable in the ways of Song Dogs; Do coyotes usually vocalize after they capture/kill something? I've heard a pack get really excited and start yelping and yipping but does a single coyote sound off when get something?
    Thanks.

I don't know but they love to howl and yip it's just in their
      blood.

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

Yotes are very social. The yipping and.howling.can be a call to arms for.the pack.to.assemble or just.checking in like women on Facebook.

I don't think there is just one song. I have watched them catch squirrels in the snow and they will eat and never say a word. I have seen them talking at night with no apparent reason than to say I am over here. Neighbor lost a cow last year fell through the ice in the stock pond. he drug it out and left it in the pasture. Better than a premier movie. The yotes called every one of their pals for three days day and night.

Watching a yote and a Bald Eagle discuss who eats first is worth the price of admission.

This time of year there are a lot of first year yotes that are anything but smart and it doesn't seem like they have learned to talk yet.

regardless of what we believe we know about animal behavior, much of our knowledge of the animal world is interpretive speculation. coyotes communicate within their own groups and with coyotes of outside groups. their howling can be a call to their own or a warning to outside-group coyotes; a 'trespassers warning' that the territory from where the howling comes from belongs to the howling party and that outsiders are not welcome. the warning is vocalized by the entire group to display a show of strength in numbers.

The coyotes where I live get real excited when they get on top of something. It is brief.
              Then total silence.

Lone coyotes never seem to make a sound when going in or after killing.
They do seem to bark though if you talk to them like a coyote.

              Hope this helps.
              Good luck in your hunts.
