Fishing on Colorado River.

What do I need to fish on the Colorado River besides the California Fishing License? I'm planning a fishing trip close to Blythe, I'll be fishing on the California side on the Colorado River and just want to play it safe. Thanks for your help.

a #40 test rig, big hooks & sinkers.

the flathead will be on the chew in the heat of summer. a carp even as big as a pound and a half is just fine.

there used to be a real honest to goodness roadhouse across river "charlies chuck house" but that was a long time ago.

Colorado River Validation Discontinued for 2014 - Anglers who possess either a valid California sport fishing license or a valid Arizona sport fishing license can fish from either shore of the portion of the Colorado River that makes up the California-Arizona boundary.

Do they have striped bass on that part of the River?
