    Costa Rica Fishing

I'm going to Costa Rica in August and was wondering if anyone has any tips on some sportfishing places they've come across. Any tips and suggestions would be much appreciated.

You might want to check BD Outdoors.

I fished out of Los Suenos resort and it was epic! Spearfished, then switched to H&l. Wife landed a nice sailfish and I got a decent marlin. Don't get the ghetto panga. We upgraded to a 20-22' center console with some good shade cover and it makes a big difference. Don't bother to bring rods and reels. They have plenty. Maybe just a pack of jigs if you want to do some bottom fishing but bait is really the best anyway. What are you looking to do?

Im there a week and wanted spend a day or half day out on the water. I have very little ocean fishing experience, I'm more river and lakes, but it seems too awesome of a time to pass up.
I was hoping someone could give a couple companies they went through. Los Suenos looks good tho, Im going to try and get more info from them

Los Suenos is the marina area and not actually a company. The outfitter I went with passed away. If you go basic panga there will be not too much difference(hopefully) about who you choose. The main thing I wanted was an English speaking captain which makes the experience so much better when you can communicate and ask questions. I'd go full day for sure. Half day sucks. If you look for the companies that own several boats they are usually more legit than just some random dude at the dock.
