    Calling non targeted animals

I want to get into calling coyotes and have access to private land where the coyotes are not pressured. My concern is Mountain lions, bears and other non targeted game coming into the calls and either trying to attack me or just ruining the hunt by spooking other game. I will be using a closed reed cottontail and jack rabbit distress call for coyotes but I may invest in a FoxPro sometime in the future. My question is how do most of you guys that hunt coyotes or foxes often handle predators that your not really calling for.

    Thanks for any info
The best part of hunting and fishing was the thinking about going and the talking about it after you got back

I've called in bobcats and foxes to my coyote calls. I usually just watch them until they go away. I haven't called in a lion yet.

They are not going to eat you. You can't control what you call and one typically wont scare the other. I have had two of different kind show or respond numerous times even lions. Had a Bear and a Bobcat twice.

Those are not lions. They are a sub-species called long tailed yotes

Thanks for the info. I do hope some time to try calling in a bear but I want more than a .223 loaded for coyotes if a bear shows up, but the 300wsm may be overkill for just foxes and coons. I am still reading all I can on what calls work best for each targeted game to try and cut down on the wrong animals showing up
