California needs a Sportsman's license for those of us who hunt and fish. Other states offer them to residents and it's a tad cheaper than buying each license individually. Why can't this be done? Anyone know if it's been proposed before?

California walking away from free money? HA!Originally posted by rootuserThere are too many in this forum that do nothing. Don't vote, don't belong to the NRA, don't donate time and or money, etc etc so the anti-gun bills will just keep coming and coming. You are right. Us doing nothing at all won't help. -

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

I have a California Sportsman License I purchased years ago. It included both the lifetime fishing and hunting licenses at a discounted rate, ID card, sportsman certificate, sportsman patches, etc. If memory servers me the lifetime privileges packages were extra.
Not sure but I don't think they offer the Sportsman package anymore, you now buy each Lifetime License individually, the lifetime privilege packages are extra.

If you have kids under ten years old buy them their lifetime licenses before they turn ten and the current cost is 300+ less than what an adult would pay. The additional life privilege packages are the same price as an adult so there's no immediate cost savings (they do slowly creep up in price every year). I bought my daughter's hunting/fishing licenses before she turned ten a few years ago and I've been taking my time buying the additional packages for her."Fish to Live, Live to Hunt"

If it was not for hunters and fishermen, the Socialist People's Republik of Kalifornia could not afford most of its parks.
With fewer people willing to put up with increasing restrictions, they are losing more revenue each year.Democrats>Socialists>Communists - Same goals, different speeds.

That's one reason this system bugs me. The money we spend on licensing pays for all the state parks for non sportsman to use and they continually grab at our rights! Don't let's us hunt find a new place to hike for free. How about the state gives us back what is rightfully ours.Comment
