Catfish are biting

A productive evening for us on the river. Caught 20. Kept 4 biggest. 42 lb flathead 30 lb. blue. 2 smaller were a 15 lb blue and flat. Just over 100lbs in 4 fish. Pretty damn cool.

Flatheads are good no matter what. I like a bigger flat more because you get a lot more belly meat and that's the best. You just gotta be sure to trim the meat real well. They have a lot of red meat that you have to trim. Your steaks need to be all white.

The blues are good but not like a flathead. Flathead only eat live food. They aren't a scavenger like channels. Caught that flathead on a 9 inch live bluegill on a 9/0 hook
