    First Time Hog Hunting

Next month will be my first time hog hunting and was just hoping to get some pointers from the veteran hog hunters. Anyone here like hog hunting? Experiences? Stories?

This, we need more info. I will say for you to google "hog kill zones" and etch those spots in your head. A head shot just below the ear can drop one too.
You may not like guns, and choose not to own one. That is your right. You might not believe in God. That is your choice. However, if someone breaks into your home, the first two things you're going to do are, 1) Call someone with a gun, 2) Pray they get there in time.

Recheck your rifle's zero when you get there. Lots of bumps on the way to Florida.

If you don't want to post the particulars and the outfit, send me a PM. Our rainy season starts next month, low lying areas, the hammocks, and sometimes the open fields can have a lot of standing water so check with the outfitter on their recommendation on footwear needed if you are stalking.

Since most of us here have not hunted hogs in Florida, your best bet is to call the outfitter and ask what they recommend for gear, footwear, knife, etc.
Will you be sitting in a blind? Spot/Stalk? Hog Dogs?

Dogs and knives! Don't miss out on that chance! Can't do that in CA.

It's Razzor Ranch, supposed to be about an hour away from Tampa. We haven't made actual reservations yet so it's not set in stone. I was not aware of the upcoming rainy season. Thanks for the info!

I believe it'll be a stalk type hunt but i'm not really sure. Their website doesn't have a whole lot of information.
