Bass Pro Shop coming to Rocklin!

February 13, 2013 - Sacramento Bee Business Section. 120,000 square foot store to open in 2015! I'm afraid that Sportsman's Warehouse in Lincoln is in big trouble!!!

Sportsman' s usually has better prices than Bass Pro.

But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

I agree with rrmeo. The mantra bass pro has crisply camo clothing imo. Its all Midwest and white tail based ftmp. Regardless I'm thrilled as I can try on waders and such now without wondering if they will fit.

Spent my middle school years living in rocklin. That little town has certainly grown.

you have no idea, hell if Sac had grown at the same rate it would be bigger than LA and NY combined (maybe not but you get the idea)

Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

Interesting to see how Bass Pro is building up more stores in CA...the one being built up in San Jose will be nice for me.

When I lived in rocklin, Stanford ranch was just fields. I remember when they built the Kmart. All us kids swore we would never go to kmart. I remember being dragged to the grand opening against my will to buy school clothes. Ended up seeing every other kid there that day with their parents doing the same. None of us kids that day would make eye contact with eachother. Ahh memories.

I grew up in Marysville and traveled the back roads through Lincoln, Folsom and Rocklin when I woked for CDF in Auburn mid to late 70's. Lots of Turkey farms back then.

Where I live was useless rock filled land until somebody put houses on it. Whoever owned land out here made out like bandits b/c the land is worthless for farming or running cattle.

Sportsmen is closing the Rocklin location and moving to the old K-Mart on Sunrise just north of the 50.

If you don't care about brand (like me), the Bass Pro's Redhead brand is usually very competitively priced especially when on sale.
