Just learned this week that my English pointer has Addison's disease. He will require monthly shots to keep things in balance and I was wondering if anyone else here has had this issue in their family and how has it been to deal with. Specifically have you had to not hunt with your dog as it made the problem worse. Thanks for any input.

Sorry to hear it!
My friend's dog developed Addison's and stayed in OK shape. He was a relatively lazy house dog and wasn't terribly different. He said he just had to watch out for signs the dog wasn't feeling right, and be more in tune with how the dog was reacting to commands compared to 'normal'. He always wagged his tail and was happy to see me when I came over.
Best of luck to you and your boy!Its an expensive hobby, but more expensive when you try and convince yourself you don't need what you really want. -

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.
