Might federal legislation allow us to keep hunting with lead?

This bill seems like a nation level action to keep lead legal for use in other states. How might it effect us here in CA if passed?

    Current text of bill:
Text of H.R. 3590 (113th): SHARE Act as of Feb. 10, 2014 (Placed on Calendar in the Senate version). H.R. 3590 (113th): SHARE Act

I can't find the section that talks about the use of lead ammo in the bill text... Anyone else see it? I'm interested in what my fellow hunters/CalGunners think about this.

It is certainly possible. One of the reasons JB signed the lead ammo bill was because there was a provision in it that made the law moot IF the federal government passed the above legislation.

I think JB knew this was coming and signed the lead ammo bill knowing this would happen. He keeps his clout and the copper ammo BS goes away.

On November 21, 2013, Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation Co-Chairs, U.S. Representatives Bob Latta (R-Ohio) and Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), introduced H.R. 3590, The SHARE Act of 2013. This NRA-backed legislation includes several important updates and changes that would positively impact American sportsmen. If enacted, this legislation would protect traditional lead based ammunition used by hunters.

This will pass and be law of the land.

NOOOOOO, Jerry Brown knew about this law and only signed the lead ammo ban because it had wording in it that if the Feds say that lead is ok the lead ammo ban in CA would be moot.

He actually gave his reason for signing the bill and mentioned it.

This bill has the votes to pass. Its for the whole country and CA won't be able to stop it. FINALLY!

Can you quote the proof from the CA law?
Not calling you out but would like proof of good news, since I thought a state could always be more restrictive with their laws then the feds but not less.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

The bill in congress would be a blanket endorsement for the use of lead for hunters in the US. Probably except for waterfowl.

If this Federal legislation is passed into law, would this put an end to the "condor zone"?

Glad I held off on buying a bunch of expensive copper 30/30 bullets. I think ill wait and see how this plays out. Any idea on a time frame for this new bill may take effect?

Does that second bill say, if you have a ccw from any state, it will work in all states that issue? Am I reading that correctly?
