Intentional Regestration of a hunting AR

If this is in the wrong section feel free to move

I have a 6.8 hunting AR that I use for deer hunting and some day pig hunting. NO point in hiding it. The build is plastered all over 68forums.

With all the new laws. Do you think it would be beneficial to Register An AR15 to avoid any problems with the DFG or return from interstate travel.

Not looking to start any fights or have people say why would I want to Register a Drosed gun. It would Be real crappy for some one to Spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on a hunting trip. To have a DFG take your gun and Leave it up to you to prove its yours later.

Just curious what you thoughts are.

    Thanks

    No!

A rifle is just that a rifle. The only rule that needs to be followed is that for big game you use a center fire cartridge.

Many people hunt with AR platforms.

Registering won't prevent an overzealous or ignorant Leo from taking it. Then you may get it back many months later after you pay an attorney even though its all legal. I am somewhat concerned with that now. My opinion on this is do not register.

You already legally own it. Assuming you legally bought/built the lower in 2013.
New CA registration is only for purchases in 2014 and on.
Other states wont care about CA registration.

Is it an 80% lower? Is that the issue?
