    Fun trip

    If you want an inexpensive day trip for rock fish, ling cod and an occasional halibut - rent a skiff on the Santa Cruz pier, lots of different species to catch just off shore. You can easily fish 3 guys from the skiff, very stable and a lot of fun.

                  we used 6 and 7 wt flyrods and conventional light tackle bass gear. Flys and saltwater gulp baits on jig heads does the trick.
