    Dogs Down

I have been cooped up all weekend sick. Got a call from a buddy in Campo and invited me to watch the Charger game. So I had reason to get out of the house. I left dark 30 and set up the caller at gray light. Sat near a bush about 40 yards from the caller. Played female howls for a minute, then pup distress for 5min. Had three dogs come in hot. Thr first one made me while I was lifting the rifle. The second one came in and stopped 50 yards from the caller. I put my crosshairs on him and everything was blurry. Damn the scope was turned up. Quickly adjusted, bang, 22-250 dropped him. Then the third heard the shot and took off in a big circle and about 200 yards she stops to look back. Put my crosshairs adjusted the scope, bang, I saw her doing the circle of death. This was my first dogs called in alone and first double. I was supper stoked all morning, then watched the game, pissed off the rest of the day.

Heading out tomorrow or Sunday to try and fill my D16 tag.

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.
