    End of Season Hunt Elevation

What elevation are you hunting, these last few days?

D3~5: With the mild to warm temps since the storm, the snow is melting fairly quick.

I'm at 3500, so 3 spikes and lots of doe on public land and a nice heavy 4 point on somebody's front yard 5 miles away from where I hunt.
Going back out sunday early morning and see if I can catch him going to private land.

      ???

Did you mean you're hoping to catch him on public land (and that's legal to hunt on)?

Most guys will be tight lipped b/c they are still hitting it thru the end of the weekend.

I was at about 5000' on Wednesday and yeah you could tell a good # of animals have moved through there. I'm sure that snow is either gone or nearly gone (anything in Sun especially) at that elevation. I've heard the deer are still scattered.

Tried a few spots in D3 today, from 6000 down to 3800ft.
There was very little sign up high, some old tracks were all I found.
Seems to be more going on from 5000-3800.

I will be hunting low. My stand at roughly 7,000 will be a recovery mission next week.

When in Cali I hunt the Desert so elevation is moot.

I'm a little jealous.....I can say that. I was in D4 today and didn't see any bucks. Could be public vs. private property. Going back early am.
