I think there's a difference between National PARKS and National FOREST laws. Far as I've experienced LOADED open carry never got a second look from LEOs in National Forest. Ive been hiking fire roads while open carrying and just wave as the National Forest Law enforcement drives by. Never even stopped. At campsites I've always had a loaded gun on my hip and encountered LEOs who never even brought up my gun in conversation. But I have no National PARKS experience.

I open carry in the National forests all the time and have forever as I hunt in them.
National parks = check each park's rules. IIRC the answer is no but don't rely on my fading recollection of other threads in here.
