    Tannerite+ground squirrels?

So i have 4lbs of tannerite and i now have the brilliant idea of smearing the container with peanut butter and doritos and put it on a squirrel hole. Wait 30 mins shoot it and cause mass squirrel death.

What could possibly go wrong? Specifically, is it illegal? I havent seen anything in the regs for binary explosives as a method of take or illegal method of take.
also whats the risk of setting the hills on fire with tannerite?

Check on baiting if legal . We shot a couple hogs a few years ago and put hides and heads on top of 2 lbs and blew them all over 30 yard radius. That stuff is dangerous if to close. Haven't touched it since.

I've seen that done with artillery ground-burst simulators... Quite effective.

It sounds like fun, but I think video of squirrels being blown up would be a bad idea, especially if you don't want tannerite to be outlawed. I know that they basically blow up when shot with a high powered rifle, but this can be taken differently.

That being said, speaking from experience, tannerite is always the right choice. ... and your not likely to catch anything on fire with it. Tannerite depleates the area of oxygen. You have to really try to make tannerite catch something on fire.

I would suggest against it unless your not in Ca, i believe that stuff is big time illegal in Cali. I have heard you can face felony charges if its in your possession.

The general consensus is that it is only illegal if mixed and being used for any other purpose than a reactive target.

The two components are essentially the little white balls in cold packs and powdered aluminum as a catalyst. It's the proportions that are critical and that's what Tanner has patented.

I doubt that it's big-time illegal because they use it on Top Gun which is filmed in CA.

Agreed; we already have enough videos of bonehead gun owners doing stupid stuff which provides great ammo for the antis.
