Krypto, yeah that super slowness seems to be par for the course in the 2nd and 3rd weekends of the season at the reserves, especially when the warm pleasant weather persists through the end of October. PRAY FOR COLD, RAIN AND WIND!!!

I have buddies jump shoot ducks in Sierra streams. Anywhere there’s water can get ducks. My 3’ wide pond I built in the middle of a housing tract would get ducks.

Went back to the mountain pond and got a Mallard drake. There was a bufflehead that stayed after I got the mallard but it went into some thick brush, I couldn’t get a shot off.

Awesome on the Greenhead! Leave the Bufflehead alone🤣. Seriously, they’re not worth eating. We got a bunch of wind throughout the past week, which is great for my local jump shooting spots. These were quick jump shoots after work over the past few days:
