Passed on a tall, 8-point, hunting with my daughter.

We went out with the crossbows yesterday morning and we got set up about 150 yards apart at either end of a small meadow in the woods that I always see a ton of deer in.

Right before dawn, a tall 8 point came in almost underneath my daughter's blind. She couldn't get a shot at him because she is short and couldn't lean out of the blind far enough.

The buck wandered my way and I had him at 50 yards but passed on shooting him as I'm going to try to get my daughter on him next weekend.

So far since we moved to Kentucky in 2022, my oldest daughter has taken the first two deer of her life (does) after hunting for 3 years in Minnesota with no luck. My middle daughter and Wifezilla have taken two bucks each, hunting for the very first time. I've cleaned a lot of deer! I've only taken one buck myself, but mostly I go just to help the others.
