Archery and Senior Crossbow seasons open tomorrow

I have two clearings freshly mowed and measured out. Both are about 35 yards wide and between 75 and 100 yards long. During rifle season last year, I shot a buck out of the second blind. This area is the long field in the northern most part of my property where the bucks travel from my (non-hunting) neighbor's woods to my woods.

Good luck with the season opener!
I spent the last week bow hunting in Northern California, had some great bucks on camera but didn’t get a shot opportunity.

This guy showed up on opening day at 1:00 in the afternoon, 20 yards from the first blind above. Unfortunately my daughter had not come up to hunt yet.

The glamorous part of owning land. I had a twin trunk black walnut tree fall and take another twin trunk tree down blocking one of the main deer trails along my treed fence line. I wound up having to cut four trunks and weedeat the path.
