2 hour afternoon hunt on the blm 3 miles from the house. Ended up with 12 birds, should have had a limit but shot like crap.

i actually got checked on opener out in Calexico. Guy was nice, checked gun, license, and my birds, shook my hand and was all over in less than 5 minutes.1A - 2A = -1A

Crazy. That’s interesting what you said about the owl. The other night, a few minutes after I took that picture near the pond where my two golden mixes were on the hood of my truck- all of the sudden, they both spring up in the dark jumping off the truck, and ran over to the edge of the pond. Huge owl had just landed and the dogs chased him off😛1A - 2A = -1A

Nice! krypto, wanna hear something crazy? About 15 years ago I worked at a local gun shop, and one day one of our old-timers and I were shooting the sh1+e about bird hunting. Dude was a good 30 years older than me. I asked him what his favorite game meat was. Without hesitation , he says “owl meat”. I was like “Seriously dude?!?”
He told me that back in the 60s and 70s it was just common to take one if you were out quail or dove hunting, and that everyone he shot, no matter what species, tasted great…1A - 2A = -1A

I had one cool owl experience when I was out coyote hunting at night. I was in the middle of nowhere and it was quite cold out, It was dead silent in the woods.
