What fish are "running"

Alot of my fishing expierence comes from pond fishing. Can anyone tell me what species are running in the delta at what times of year and what to try and catch them.

Stripers are supposed to be running in the delta right now. The bass bite should be pretty decent as well.

Striper and Shad are running this month. The Sac Bee has a weekly fishing report that is pretty good. Here is this weeks report from the Sac Bee. The Fish Sniffer is a great local publication that you can pick up. You can view DFG fish plants at this link.

Shad. Stripers. Like they said above. Trout opened a few weeks ago in the sierras. Now that turkey season has closed it is time to fish!

Striper trolling is getting better here since the big tides passed.I am enjoying it a lot.
