Good hunt. 4 of us. One of my buddies had an off day and couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. His kid (17 and a great shot) tagged 6 birds. My other buddy did a killer job calling and helped pull in multiple widgeon and shovelers. He popped a cinnamon and a widgeon. He pulled down hundreds of pintail but the birds were so damn educated, and we were able to only take one as a group.
Took me all day, but I limited with a pair of widgeon (double!), 4 Daffys, and a beautiful drake bufflehead.
Overall awesome hunt. Never seen so many big birds on a reserve. Was also nice to hunt a reserve were I could actually see the birds work without being skyblasted by the guy in the next blind over- I’m used to hunting Wister and San Jack.Last edited by PoorRichRichard; 12-23-2024, 2:03 AM.1A - 2A = -1A
