    I'm an over ethical hunter but when it comes to Jacks they stay where they lay....yep I said it.

      Your sub-ethical. I place a piece of sprig in each jack's mouth and then say a prayer, light a fire, and meditate over the gut pile before taking it home.

          only hunt enough rabbits that you intend to eat or share with others...

            This thread makes me want to go out and shoot jacks. Normally I never bother unless it's incidental.

                  I've eaten jackrabbit. Cubed, rolled in seasoned cornmeal or masa and fried.... good stuff. Stewed is even better.

                    Tularemia is very rare and very easy to diagnose. There is a lot of paranoia out there that doesn't pass facts and science.
