    Tanning in San Jose area

Had a great day hunting yesterday. Came back with a bobcat.

Trying to find a place in or near San Jose where we can get it skinned and tanned.

    Anybody know a place?

    Thanks!

When I first read this I thought I was in off topic and somebody wanted a recommendation for a tanning bed place. lol. I was just thinking about lounging by my pool drinking margaritas so that is probably why.

Do a you tube search for skinning a bobcat. It's not hard and will take less than 30 minutes. There is a tannery in Turlock called Goldenstate Tannery I have used and they do a good job.

Nice racks are much better. You can grab both sides of the rack to help stabilize while mounting.

If you don't know how to skin the bobcat just freeze it and bring it to the taxidermist. Let someone else she show you for you how to case it out, practice on a coyote before you practice on the majestic bobcat.
