requesting info on Chukar and quail in Around bishop?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience over on the east-side of the Sierras, around Bishop. I am thinking about going up there to hunt with my dog next weekend and have no idea where to start. I may be camping around the Buttermilk's area below Mt. Tom.

I'm not looking for anyone secret spot just some good info on possible areas to look, elevations, am i even in the right are to find chukar? thanks

Chukar in the rocks, Quail on the flats, both on the foothills and both near water...
