You'd have to use a legal method of take and be in season. My old neighborhood in southern oregon I could go out and shoot a critter and the neighbors didn't mind. In town where I live now, I'm pretty sure that the local constabulary would have something to talk to me about.

As far as I know it's generally illegal to use any legal method of take within most city limiits. I don't know if a bow&arrow is illegal to shoot in folsom but I'm pretty sure it is in the Bay area cities. We have archery ranges I think for a reason which may not apply to you.

If your in Folsom proper check the city ordinances to see if Archery equipment or the .22 cal pellet gun are considered firearms. If your going to whack one on your street I'd hypothetically recommend doing it during the season, with legal means and not telling your neighbors.

You never know who loves them and will drop a dime on you.

You went and made me look that up as I was certain it was incorrect...

              (f) Air rifles powered by compressed air or gas and used with any caliber of pellet, except that wild turkey may only be taken with a pellet that is at least 0.177 caliber.
Thanks for setting me straight since I have a new .177 Hornet and lots of turkey on the property come spring.

It's actually a lot of fun to sucker them in and stick 'em in the eye. We took a pellet gun out turkey hunting with us 2 years ago. 2 dead turkeys with a pellet gun and one with a bow made for a great day.

An animal control pole would work fine on the semi-domestic turkeys & Canada geese who've invaded suburban California. You can make your own out of some steel fishing leader and a piece of EMT tubing.
I don't shoot because I like guns, I shoot because I hate paper.

There's a mistaken impression that conservatives don't like the environment. We do, we love the environment. We just call it the outdoors and we go there to kill stuff.
