For you Mosin 7.62x54 you want .311 or. 310 diameter bullets...slug your barel to find the correct size. Barnes and Nosler make lead free bullets. Midwest, Able's lots of others sell them online.

Barnes varmint grenades are made for ground squirrel and prairie dog shooting. You want a bullet that blows up and kills them right now rather that whistle through the body and have them crawl in their holes for a slow death.
I usually keep an eye out on Midway, Graf & son, Natchez, Powder valley, Widener's, sportsworld, etc for them to have sales on the Barnes then I buy a bunch at a time. Midway usually has a sale on Barnes bullets 3-4 times a year.Frank
