    1st Coyote of Feb.

Went out to some private property I just recently got permission to hunt with a friend from out of town.
Only had a few hours to play,Had to be at home for breakfast with the family.
1st 2 sets nothing showed. Last set I called for 15 mins. again nothing. Getting around time to leave so I wait for a min or 2 and after I'm fairly sure nothing is coming I stood up and headed down the hill to retrieve my Fox Pro and Mojo.
I get about 20 yards from my gear and I see a Coyote standing out on this point of a knob about 150 yards out.
I swear and drop to my butt and the Coyote just stood there a little to long. Restin on my knee I lined her up and pulled the trigger and she got the BOOM.FLOP treatment.
Shooting my Savage 223 this morning. love the 55 gr. vmax. Had to clean the barrel out of it, Its been sitting in the safe for to long.
Coyote made us late for breakfast but wife let me live this time.

Good morning, too bad I couldn't get Mike a shot at his 1st Coyote but there is always next time.

WTG on the coyote. That seems to happen alot, except that most of the times we catch movement and then see a coyote hauling tail out of dodge. Nice pics and rifle too.

ya I like the Savage too. I bought it new a few years ago and did all my coyote hunting with it then bought my Tikka lite in 243 and used the 243 for a long time. I still like the Savage its a model 12 in 223 and has a 20 in bull barrel and really likes the 55 gr. vmax.
The bullet hit this coyote right behind the shoulder and it dropped.
