    Had a good day on closer. howd everyone do post up some duck closer pics

    my buddy and I shot a blind in los banos all in all it was a pretty good year for me.

                  I hated this year. I shot more ducks out of my parents pond than the blind. Switching gears to turkey season now.

                      Finished out the weekend hunting with my father. We had 16 birds on Saturday and limits on Sunday.

                        Twitchell Island flooded rice. 2 Specks, 4 pintails and something else.
                        The "something else" Is a hen Widgeon. A pretty good medium sized bird and good for the plate. They tend to fly when pintails are in the air.. they have a two tone whistle that you can blow using one of those 7 in one whistles.

                        We limited out both Sat and Sun.. Main bird for us was Green winged teal.. all total for both days came out to 12 GW teal, 6 mallards, 5 widgeon, 3 pintails, and 2 "butterballs". I'm sure the butterballs have a different name.. but that's how I refer to them.. they are small and round and fly like a teal. They are a diving duck..

                            Season was over for in December. Got sent to Virginia for school. Not a bad season for me but lost a whole month of it.

                              I didn't get out for the closure, but I was out on Wednesday at Sacramento NWR. We got 7 Snow Geese and 12 ducks for 3 guys.

                              My brother took a shot at a GWT that was way too close. Literally blew it's head off.
