Works if you can sit very still and know how to use it.

Squirrel distress will have them come running in, they will jump through the branches to try to see what has gotten hold of the baby squirrel, works year-round. I used to limit out in oklahoma using it. the barker is harder to use, good to locate an area where they are with it, then draw em in with distress

Not always, one time I hit the distress call and there was a squirrel right out in front of us that we didn't see and he took off like a rocket. I think he didn't see us either in the high weeds and he took the scream as a hawk or his buddy getting et and he unazzed the AO right now. We cracked up watching him since we never even got the guns up in time.

As poor kids we used to rub 2 poker chips together to get the "puck puck" sound.

With the screamer call try and thrash some small tree saplings around to make it sound like a little squirrel is being attacked on the ground. It also gives them something visual to key in on.

he probably took off cause he thought he was next lol. The bush thrashing works good too, forgot about that. Its been over 4 years since the last time I hunted tree rats LOL
