I could be wrong but I'm guessing Pinback shark or at least that's what I was told they were. I heard they were not good eating.

Pin back or Smooth Hound. No, they are not good eating.
For food fare you might want to stick with Leapords and Threshers.

Leopards taste good? I've heard most sharks don't taste too good if you don't prepare and handle them right because of the amonnia/piss in flessh problem with most types of sharks.

              Khram,
They are very tasty, as is Mako. The key to any fish is in the handling after death. Bleed and gut, replace in'erds with ice, pack in cooler.

Any fish I decide to not release is cared for like a newborn baby. When you spend enough money on a sport you love, you tend to really care for the 'prize'.

Here is a link to the current reg's.

              Regards,
              Mike

Besides not being good table fair, those pups should have been released.

Thresher are very good eating, many compare the taste and texture to Swordfish.
