I haven't yet but I want to hunt Turkey this year--it will be my first time, but I've been wanting bag a Turkey since I was 10 years old. Let us know how it goes, and of course take some pictures!

I'm very jealous antonio. I've about given up public land hunting for them. =/

One place I hunt has few turkeys on it pre season but about mid season they seem to move in. The Toms will start moving around a lot as the hens start nesting and wont breed. So pre season scouting does help but dont give up completely if you dont see much early.

Hey lew I hearu I guess I'm very fortunate 2 have the private land 2 hunt especially in prime turkey country up highway 50 in Cameron park area. But I do hunt pheasant on public property and it sucks I'm giving up and joining a club the problem with the clubs half the time u have 2 kick the pheasants 2 get them 2 fly.

we still have a good rain forecast so the hens shouldnt get bred to early and move on. Last year was pretty dry.

I ordered a couple types of turkey ammo to pattern and be ready when the season opens. Had some more rain yesterday and today so it's pretty muddy out there to scout around much tomorrow unfortunately. What calls do you guys use?

I've got a few really good roosting trees scoped out on my buddies property when I was out deer hunting and then quail/dove hunting. Ought to be a good spring hunt
