Weird cold weather problem. I would posit that the hammer spring might be just ever so slightly weak or the firing pin just a tad too short.
It might not be too expensive to swap those two parts out and test it next time it gets real cold.
The other consideration is ammo. If you get the problem with multiple factory types, you know it is the rifle.Comment

All the cleaning that could be done was done, and anything that could be removed and put in the ultrasonic was. Springs were replaced but nothing was done to the firing pin. It was rifle and not ammo-related as I tried 2 different manufacturers. It's still a beautiful, fun, and accurate rifle to shoot. Not even counting the sentimental reasons ( Father In Law just passed).Comment
